Terence Law, from TLAW Photography, did an outstanding job capturing this gorgeous wedding at The Ranche Restaurant down in Fish Creek Park. Although you don’t need many decorations at the beautiful Ranche Restaurant, Inspired Occasions and Sarah Mayerson Designs looked after the decor and florals to create a romantic room full of ambiance.
About the couple:
Shevaun and Derek are an online dating success story. After a few virtual smiles and chats, they discovered they were both in their last year of studies at the University of Alberta. Following graduation, Derek moved back home to Calgary for work; twenty-six months and thousands of Highway 2 kilometers later, Shevaun relocated to be with him. Derek proposed in Banff shortly after.
Even with some unexpected October showers, their wedding was picture perfect. “Home” was a dominant theme for their day, and the historic Ranche Restaurant was the perfect venue to host their guests and celebrate their love. Every detail, from the clean, classic and rustic décor, to the “cake” made from wheels of cheese and decorated with roses, figs and grapes, reflected Shevaun and Derek. To describe their day in one word: inviting. Beautiful images TLAW Photography!
